The Delhi Capitals have once again found themselves in a bad condition with the bat in the first innings and they have lost half their side before reaching the 100-run mark. Pathum Nissanka guided the side with a well-made half-century but he couldn’t carry on for long. KL Rahul and Nitish Rana have been the players who have stepped up for the Capitals in this season, but they too were dismissed quite quickly. They do still have some batting left to come but a big score could be a far fetched dream.

After KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka gave the Capitals a steady opening start, Kartik Tyagi broke the shackles with the wicket of KL Rahul. From then on, they haven’t really been able to generate momentum as the wickets kept on falling even though Nissanka didn’t retreat from his charge. As a matter of fact, other than the openers, none of the batters in the unit have been able to reach the double figures.

Fans criticised Delhi Capitals’ fragile middle-order after yet another collapse in the season

The viewers on X have once again criticised the batting efforts of Delhi Capitals as a similar performance unfolded against the Chennai Super Kings. The fans seem to be disappointed as it would feel like they are just throwing away the opportunity that was presented to them on a plate early on in the season. Here are some of the reactions on X:

The Kolkata Knight Riders are well and truly on top of the game here at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and the Delhi Capitals will have a difficult way back into the game.
