In a noted ceremony that took place in the spiritual city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, leading fast bowler of Indian men’s team Akash Deep tied the knot with his partner Akshita Raj in a traditional wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony took place at a brilliant destination and one that’s simply hard to ignore- Taj Ganges, that happens to be among the most salubrious venues for life changing events such as marriage.

Akash Deep’s wedding celebration was attended by- of course his own family members, close friends and several notable personalities. Interestingly, having said that one of the most noted guests to have graced the occasion was among the leading lights of Bhojpuri singing- Pawan Singh who arrived to bless the newlyweds.

Not long after the wedding ceremony took place, several photos and videos from the famous ceremony did rounds on social media that have given cricket fans or members of the sporting fraternity a glimpse into the marriage ceremony.

Among these pictures are those of several guests who are extending congratulations and sharing best wishes to the newlyweds- Akash Deep and Akshita Singh.

Here’s an excerpt from a news report published on Money Control that shared the following insights with regard to the wedding-

The wedding was designed around a distinctive Banarasi theme, featuring symbolic elements associated with Lord Shiva, including the Damru, Nandi and Mahadev motifs. The traditional rituals were conducted in the presence of relatives and close friends, making it an intimate yet elegant affair. The celebrations began on June 22, with pre-wedding festivities taking place over two days in Rohtas, Bihar, before the main ceremony in Varanasi. Family members and loved ones gathered to celebrate the union through a series of traditional events and customs. Although there was much fanfare associated with the marriage, some members of the Indian cricket team did not attend.

In the most recent times, Akash Deep has been a more prominent part of India’s test match side and has played no fewer than 10 tests so far in a growing career.
