When asked about the pitch, the pitch curator of Eden Gardens, Sujan Mukherjee, said, “As usual, the pitches for the upcoming IPL matches will be sporting. There will be runs on offer, and bowlers will also get assistance. I haven’t received any instructions from anyone about the wicket,” Mukerjee told Revsportz.

Mukherjee has been in controversy in all the IPL seasons for not providing the KKR team with home advantage. The controversy took an ugly turn when the curator and the KKR management fought the same ahead of the Knights' match.

Both SRH and KKR might continue with the same squad; however, there are reports of Cameron Green being excluded from the squad for tonight’s match, as he cannot bowl as advised by CA. Green’s bowling was majorly missed by KKR as none of their key bowlers was able to provide the desired results.
