Nevertheless, as the day grows, the possibility of rain interrupting the game in the evening gets lesser.
However, even if rain plays spoilspots and persists for a long period during the game, the match could get abandoned and both teams would be required to play at least five overs to decide the winner.
What is IPL 2026 Qualifier 1 gets washed out?
In case the anticipated clash gets washed out completely, there are no reserve days for Qualifiers and Eliminators of the IPL 2026 playoffs. The winner of the game will be decided by the position of the team in the standings. Hence, for today’s game, RCB would get a chance to defend their title by directly advancing to the finale.
