Indian pacer Kranti Gaud put on a spectacular bowling performance to put India in firm control of their one-off Test after bowling England out for 170 and reaching 154 for one at the close, building a substantial lead of 269. The 22-year-old pacer showed true mastery of red-ball bowling, finishing with figures of five for 37. She bowled a brilliant spell, with her accuracy spot on in terms of line and length, combined with effective wobble seam. This is Kranti's second Test, having made her debut at the WACA against Australia in March earlier this year, and she entered the record books as the first woman to have her name carved on the Test Honours Board at Lord's.
Gaud said becoming the first woman to have her name etched on the Lord's Honours Board after claiming a five-wicket haul in the one-off Test against England was a moment of immense pride for her and her family. The landmark moment was captured in a video shared by the BCCI, where she was seen walking up to the Honours Board and carefully writing her name among the game's greats. Watching from afar were her family members, who joined via video call to witness one of the proudest moments of her career.

Kranti Gaud's pre-match prophecy turns into reality at Lord's
Ahead of the start of the Test between India and England, pacer Kranti Gaud said she wanted to pick up five wickets and get her name on the Honours Board. On Day 2 of the match, that dream turned into reality.
"The Lord's Honours Board is very famous because the name of the person who picks five wickets is noted on the board. We are also very excited to take five wickets and get our name on the board." Kranti had said before the one-off Test commenced, in a video shared by the BCCI on Sunday.
India's seamers, Gaud and Sayali Satghare, joined forces to dismantle England's batting line-up, with the pacers sharing seven wickets between them. Sneh Rana picked up two wickets, while Deepti Sharma also claimed one as England were bowled out for 170 in their second innings. Indian opener Smriti Mandhana smashed an unbeaten 69 to help India reach 154 for one at the end of Day 2, leaving India in complete control of the match. Kranti Gaud also impressed the Lord's crowd with a terrific spell.
