He can break the flow of runs whenever it’s needed. He can put a tight lid on run scoring. And being true to the standards of being a three dimensional player, which is such a rarity, anyway, he can come up with useful runs and often at brisk pace when needed. What’s more? He’s a multiple time IPL winner. Do you happen to recall that? He happens to hold the distinct, honour or record of being the player of the match on two separate IPL final occasions. One each in the year 2017 and the other being last year in 2025. There’s so much more to Krunal Pandya than we happen to appreciate – wouldn’t you agree? This very year, he scored 226 runs with the bat and picked up 14 wickets. There is a reason why the Royal Challengers Bengaluru need him and keenly so and there is a reason why he’s enjoying his time out with RCB camp. He tends to thrive in that sort of excitement.

However, not all’s right for both the Pandya siblings. While Krunal has had mega showing in the Indian Premier League 2026, edition, where he performed to the Best of his ability being an all-rounder eventually being part of the grand success of RCB, yet again on the other hand is brother, Hardik did not really have a great season. As a matter of fact, it could be said that Hardik Pandya has seen better days in the past. Not only did he fail to make an impact with the white ball. In hand. The bat seemed to run dry whenever big runs- and crucial ones at that-were needed.

However, that is not all? Where Hardik was concerned a talent who picked up just four wickets and just four on the whole, it was his captaincy which was a particular cause of concern it being derided for the better part of the season that just recently came to an end.

For a team that has 5 separate IPL titles, it did not help to see Mumbai Indians suffer and stoop to being almost a bottom dweller as far as the IPL tables were concerned.

But what’s also a fact is that it can’t always be that great on the cricket field. Hardik has had tremendous experience as a cricketer and his talent and class in the recent past have held him and his IPL teams in great stead. Few can dispute the importance than an in form Hardik have lent his MI and before that, GT team as seen all along.

So brother Krunal highlighted something positive and worth telling on that note. Recently, Krunal Pandya opened up on the sheer bond and close sibling chemistry that he happens to have - and truth be told (it’s not hard to ignore, cherishes) - with his dear and beloved brother Hardik.

"When you have your brother also playing the same sport, it always helps each other - I mean, 10 trophies in the Pandya household is not a bad number to have. God’s been kind".

And we have also heard that great things happened to those who persist and both the Pandya brothers have persisted with a lot of hard work and commitment to the game, and hence the result is their collective success.
