Mumbai Indians has taken a hilarious dig at Arshdeep Singh’s racist remarks at Tilak Varma and the fans have rated it as one of the best comebacks ever. Mumbai Indians posted a video of Tilak Varma holding the awards he collected after the match and placed the famous “Channa Mereya” song from the movie “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”. The song starts with the same name that Arshdeep Singh calls Varma - “andhera”. The lyrics in this context would be a dig at the remarks of Arshdeep Singh in which Mumbai claims that Tilak Varma absorbed all their darkness and shined bright for the side. The incident had begun earlier on when Arshdeep Singh called Tilak Varma as “andhera” which meant darkness. He further asked Tilak if he had applied sunscreen on his face and it was deemed to be an extremely racist comment to make. Both the players have played together for India and they might be sharing such a healthy rapport but such comments often have no place anywhere in the world even if it’s friendship.
Tilak ’s explosive innings revived MI while PBKS slip further in their woes for playoff qualification
The Mumbai Indians fought back after their disappointing loss against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Tilak Varma was the hero of the Mumbai side as he was absolutely amazing with his shot making and he ensured that no stone was left unturned in their quench for victory. He played with authority right from the beginning and he was absolutely explosive with his approach. Tilak Varma played a sensational knock of 75 off just 33 balls and he won multiple awards after the match for his match-winning innings and excellent boundary count.
The Punjab Kings have slipped even deeper in terms of their worries to qualify for the playoffs as they have lost 5 games on the trot at the moment. For the kind of start they have had in the innings, this would be a nightmare run for the team as they were considered to be the obvious team to go through to the next round. But their form hasn’t been all that great and they have once again failed to secure a victory. Shreyas Iyer and his men will still remain confident that they can make it through and it will be interesting to see if they can go through to the next round.
