The Indian team has been struggling with the opening pair and it isn't any secret anymore. On one side, Abhishek Sharma has registered three ducks and has been able to score 15 runs in the tournament so far. On the other hand, Ishan Kishan, who smashed two fifties earlier in the tournament, hasn't really been able to get going in the past two matches. Unfortunately for men-in-blue, the number 3 and number 4 - Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav have struggled with the strike rate.
With the top order not firing the way they were expected to - it looks like that the team management will be taking some tough calls and possibly get Sanju Samson back into the playing 11. Sanju, who has played just one game thus far - has scored 22 runs against the Namibia at the Arun Jaitely Stadium in New Delhi.
Fans have expressed their opinion on social media along with the experts as well - and it looks like that Sanju Samson might find a place in the playing 11 against Zimbabwe - especially with Chennai angle. Sanju understands the ground, carries good support, and can certainly be of good value to the side.
The Indian team's assistant coach as also confirmed that Sanju Samson will be a talking point in the next few days. With next game a couple of days away - practice sessions will surely give some more insights.
