Tim Seifert is widely recognised as one of the most destructive, brave and game changing batters of this modern age. Together with the likes of Finn Allen and Glenn Phillips, he forms an important and decisive trinity for the present day BlackCaps New Zealand side. And it could be said that his relatively uncomplicated and straightforward approach of - see the ball, hit the ball- has only furthered his appeal as a modern day white ball smasher.

Most teams would trade anything to have him play for their ranks and there’s a reason why the Seattle Orcas, which happen to be an important side of the Major League Cricket, seem so utterly delighted with the right hander.

Opening his account in the 2026 edition of the MLC, the much vaunted and highly recognised franchise based competition in North America, Tim Seifert began on a rather encouraging note as seen just a few hours ago.

Notching up a maiden hundred in this brand new season, the attacking batter stormed his way to a 66-ball-104 run knock that ultimately catapulted his Seattle side to a dominant position.

The team would score 220 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets and thus rising to a position of ascendency all thanks to then batting heroics of the daring willowman; Seifert scoring 104 on his own.

But having said that, scoring an audacious century wasn’t the only thing that fascinated the fans about Tim Seifert; rather it was the attacking nature of his strokeplay that garnered further attention for the dangerous Kiwi batter.

Carving as many as 8 boundaries and smashing 6 sixes, here was Tim Seifert up against several talented bowlers from the Texas Super Kings ranks such as Adam Milne, Wiaan Mulder and not to forget, Nandre Burger.

But as it often happens in the great game of cricket, where one fantastic knock is usurped by another mega innings of similar class and caliber, the Texas Super Kings captain Faf du Plessis led from the front and smoked a brilliant unbeaten century striking 113 runs that eventually spoiled the fun for Tim Seifert and his side.

But for now, the man nicknamed “Bam Bam” has surely begun well. He’d be careful about not losing any momentum and about building great credentials so as to ensure a mega successful MLC campaign in 2026!
