The two unbeaten teams of the season - Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru - will take on each other in the battle to extend the winning run. The Royals are currently at the top with three wins out of three, while the Royal Challengers have won both their games so far and are currently third in the points table.
RCB boasts of a huge loyal fanbase, and thus, even if away from home, they always have a huge crowd of supporters everywhere. Thus, even miles away from Bengaluru, the Royal Army was also seen making a show at Guwahati Stadium, and thanks go mostly to the legend Virat Kohli.
The toss was delayed due to rain, but when Rajat Patidar and Riyan Parag, the home team captain, came to the ground for the toss, RCB fans in the crowd were seen chanting “ We love RCB”, “Namma Bengaluru”, etc.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to bowl first.
After losing toss Rajat Patidar said “ This is our first away game. (Crowd cheering RCB) Thanks to everyone. I think you are making us feel that it’s already our home ground. So we all love you. Unfortunately, Duffy misses out on this game. Josh in the place of Duffy. Duffy also bowled brilliantly in the last game. But everyone knows Josh is an experienced player, a specialist. But I think his presence will definitely put us in a good frame of mind, I think.”
RR vs RCB: the most awaited IPL 2026 Rivalry
Riding on explosive starts from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the Rajasthan Royals will aim to continue their dominance when they face defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a high-voltage IPL clash on Friday.
Their bowling lineup consists of Nandre Burger and Jofra Archer in powerplays, Sandeep Sharma and Bishnoi in middle overs, which truly gives them a balanced squad overall.
RCB, meanwhile, looks equally formidable with a settled top order anchored by Virat Kohli, who has shown no signs of slowing down despite stepping away from T20Is. Phil Salt adds firepower at the top, while Devdutt Padikkal has emerged as a key figure at No. 3, rediscovering his fluent best. Back with RCB, Padikkal has carried his domestic form into the season, smashing consecutive fifties and playing a vital
role in the team’s strong start. Skipper Rajat Patidar and Tim David further bolster the middle order. Bowling with Jacob Duffy, the comeback of Hazlewood and Bhuvneswar Kumar's skills make them a balanced side.
