The Purple Brigade hosted the Gujarat Titans in the 60th league-stage clash of the season at the Eden Gardens on May 16. Aiming to get back to their winning momentum, Ajinkya Rahane and Co. got off to a flying start against the Titan bowlers. Despite losing skipper at just 14 runs in 14 balls, the Knight Riders created history, owing to the three fifties by their three batters.
Finn Allen missed his well-deserving century, but posted 93 runs off 35 balls with a combination of four boundaries and 10 sixes. Angkrish Raghuvanshi remained unbeaten at 82 in 44 deliveries, with a combination of four boundaries and seven towering maximums. Not only this, but star all-rounder Cameron Green posted 52* in 28 balls to help the side post 247 runs with the loss of two wickets.
