Young fan didn’t get Virat Kohli’s autograph; gets angry and throws his bat away
The famous Indian Premier League has already crossed the midway stage in the current 2026 season and the excitement is building with every single game ahead in the pipeline. So far, and rather unsurprisingly so, one of the teams that has commanded everyone’s attention, not restricted to the fans who assemble in stadiums to watch the live game, have been the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, without much of a doubt. The RCB are a mega hit and a hot favorite among the fans wherever their cricketers are spotted, not necessarily always the cricketing turf or on the occasion of an IPL game.
The batting prowess of Virat Kohli once added to the skill and redoubtable experience of someone like Bhuvneshwar Kumar has really led the RCB on a path of ascendency that is creating inspiring ripples all over! Wouldn’t you agree? And maybe it’s given this fantastic consistency that the side demonstrate time and again, their performances being on the up especially since the previous season and the one before, that the Bengaluru unit have only endeared the lot further to the attention of most fans.
A recent episode of just how popular the players of the RCB are, especially a certain Virat Kohli came to light most recently with respect to a rather young looking cricket fan, but also one who was left a bit desolate. Yeah, that is the word in this particular instance, unfortunately!
So the key question is what happened this time around?
In what became recently a widely watched clip, takes us to witness a rather sad or forlorn looking young cricket fan who is seemingly irate and actually ends up throwing his cricket bat (that’s been in his hand all this time) for the simple reason that it is not autographed by none other than the great man himself- Virat Kohli.
Kohli can’t be blamed
Here’s a point that must be or ought to be noticed. And it’s that, it is simply not possible for all the time for the cricketers to be around - and patiently so- tending to all the requests of their fans. Then even if that means that Virat Kohli must cater to the fan craving of a young fan.
Who knows how busy or tired a cricketer may actually be?
The Instagram clip shows us the young fan dressed in a cute T shirt angrily throwing away the bat after it was not possible for him to secure the autograph of Virat Kohli. While it’s not clear if the cricketer is leaving for - or coming back from- a cricketing contest, a thing can be seen clearly. And it’s that the RCB legend is a touch rushed. He may have been exhausted or simply in a zone where he would like to be left alone.
What else can one say apart from saying- tough luck for the young cricket fan.
