Lucas Vasquez, 34-year-old Spanish right-back has been a crucial player for Real Madrid since the time he made his first-team debut in 2015 rising from the ranks in Real Madrid’s academy. The Spanish international has made more than 400 appearances for the club and has been a dark horse for the Los Blancos over the years. 

After spending more than 10 years at the historic club, Lucas Vasquez decided that it was time to move on and start a new chapter with a new team. Recent reports suggest that Erik Ten Hag’s Bayer Leverkusen have agreed a deal to sign the 34-year-old on a permanent deal. Lucas Vasquez is set to join the German club as a free agent. Bayer Leverkusen have secretly completed the medical for the player and he is set to sign the contract today, as per Fabrizio Romano. Vasquez will be a crucial part of the setup for Erik Ten Hag as he is a versatile player who can also play as a winger when needed.

The Spanish right-back who has been associated with Real Madrid for around 18 years is expected to bring huge experience and quality to the team. Bayer Leverkusen  have started the season with a defeat against Hoffenheim by 2-1. They are in desperate need of reinforcements and Lucas Vasquez could be one such player who could bring the team back on track with his overall qualities. 

Vasquez is set to be the latest addition to the squad after completing the signing of Jarell Quansah from Liverpool. Following the departure of Jeremie Frimpong, Leverkusen have a missing piece of the puzzle in that position and Vasquez is set to be the one to complete it.
