Jack Grealish, the Everton winger, has been named the Premier League’s player of the month for August after making an instant impact at his new club on a season-long loan deal. The 30-year-old provided four assists in his first two starts for Everton, which ended up being wins against Brighton and Wolves in the Premier League after he debuted for them off the bench in their season opener against Leeds United.
Notably, the four assists from Jack Grealish in three matches is two more than the next best player on the coveted list at the start of the new Premier League season. This has been an impressive start from the Englishman at his new club after struggling for consistent game time and performances in a Manchester City side where he ended up winning three Premier League medals after joining them on a big money move from Aston Villa.
Jack Grealish could become first Everton player to get multiple assits in three Premier League matches in row
Before the excellence of Jack Grealish, the player of the month award in the Premier League for Everton was last won by Dominic Calvert-Lewin way back in September 2020 at the height of the pandemic. The Everton winger managed to top the list of eight players for the player of the month award for August 2025 after the public vote got combined with those on the football experts panel.
Following his arrival at the club last month, Jack Grealish was quite happy about the completion of the move, and he had said, “I'm over the moon to have signed for Everton - it's massive for me, honestly. This is a great club, with great fans.” In the upcoming weekend of the Premier League, Everton will be taking on Aston Villa at their newly built Hill Dickinson Stadium, where the 30-year-old could become the first club player to register multiple assists in three consecutive matches in the competition.
