1)France
The French Football team has been the best performing team in the World Cup in the last decade with two back-to-back appearances in the Finals. Kylian Mbappe has been their key star across both World Cups, delivering some of his career best performances. Ousmane Dembele will be another key player in the attacking setup who is dominating club football with PSG. They are a well rounded team with the likes of Rayan Cherki and Michael Olise as well. They could arguably be the best side in the tournament with some unreal squad depth and bench strength.
2)Argentina
The defending champions will be keen on keeping the crown to themselves as Lionel Messi helped the side conquer back in 2022. Lionel Scaloni will once again have his eyes set on the prize and the team selection has been on point. Emiliano Martinez was their key player in their previous campaign with his splendid performances in the penalty shootouts as well. Rodrigo De Paul, Alexis Mac Allister and Enzo Fernandez will be controlling their midfield area. It will be interesting to see how they will be approaching their campaign in title defence.

3)Spain
Spain’s technical superiority with the ball will be second to one as they proved it in the 2024 Euro Cup. Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres will hold their key to success as the duo has been terrific up front with brilliant playmaking. Their high press tactics has been a successful one and they seem like they will be sticking onto similar tactics. Rodri’s role in the midfield setup would be an important one as he could dictate the flow of the game and drop in for additional support in the defense. Spain could potentially pose a real threat at the World Cup after two disappointing campaigns in the previous editions.

4)Portugal
Portugal will be looking to make an impact in the tournament considering it will be the last tournament for Cristiano Ronaldo and it would be his final attempt. The talent that this side has is immeasurable especially in the midfield. Bruno Fernandes has been exceptionally good for Manchester United as he broke the record for the most assists in a season. Vitinha and Joao Neves have been working wonders for PSG in the midfield and they could carry the ball forward. Portugal could work well with the form of their players and if they can click together as a team, they could pose a serious threat for the other teams.

5)Brazil
The Brazilian squad would come as no surprise in this list as they have been the best team in football World Cup history over the years with 5 titles to their name. Neymar has been included in the squad by Carlo Ancelotti and he will be looking to give it his all to conquer the big stage. Endrick and Vinicius Jr. could be the other important players in the attacking third and they could create plenty of chances as well. Marquinhos and Casemiro will be the other core players who could help Brazil to have a firm grip over their defensive duties. Brazil could lead a strong charge for the title but the form of their players could play a huge role.
