Randal Kolo Muani had a challenging spell at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) where he struggled to secure regular playing time since his £82.3 million move from Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2023. Despite winning two Ligue 1 titles, the forward managed only 11 goals and seven assists in 54 appearances for the European champions, with many of those outings coming off the bench. His lack of favor under PSG manager Luis Enrique led to a loan spell at Juventus in the second half of the 2024-25 season, where he rediscovered his scoring touch, netting 10 goals and providing three assists in 22 appearances across all competitions.
Amid the rumours around his future, Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly completed a Deadline Day move, securing a season-long loan deal for PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani. The 26-year-old France international, who has been reportedly linked with several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and West Ham United, is set to bolster Spurs’ attacking options under manager Thomas Frank. According to the reports by BBC and The Athletic, the agreement finalised in the closing hours of the summer transfer window, sees Kisol Muani travel to London to complete a medical and sign his contract, with no option or obligation to buy included in the deal.
Kolo Muani’s deal with Tottenham Hotspur ended negotiations with Juventus
It is said that Juventus had been keen to re-sign Kolo Muani permanently, but negotiations collapsed over the weekend, opening the door for Tottenham to capitalise. The deal, which includes reportedly a £4.3 million loan fee, is said to offer Spurs a low-risk opportunity to add without long-term financial commitment. Kolo Muani’s versatility, reportedly allows him to play as a central striker or across the front line, makes him an ideal fit for Frank’s tactical setup, which emphasizes fluidity and creativity in attack. For Tottenham, Kolo Muani represents their fourth major signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Mohammed Kudus, Joao Palhinha, and Xavi Simons.
Kolo Muani starting at Nantes, scored 23 goals in 87 appearances before joining Frankfurt on a free transfer in 2022. His explosive 2022-23 season with the Bundesliga side, where he recorded 26 goals and 17 assists in 50 matches, earned him his move to PSG and cemented his status as one of France’s brightest talents. A 31-cap international, Kolo Muani scored in France’s 2022 World Cup semi-final win over Morocco.
