As IPL 2022 mega auction entered the second day, it was always going to be quite exciting to see which franchises go after which player with such limited budgets. While there were some intense bidding wars, for players like Liam Livingtstone, Jofra Archer and Tim David, there were also a few brilliant picks by teams which went under the radar.

Here is a list of 1 steal buy for each of the 10 franchises on Day 2:

Devon Conway - 1 crore to CSK

The Kiwi left-handed batsman has been one of the most consistent batsmen in T20Is in recent times, with 602 runs in 20 matches at strike-rate of 139.3. To get the services of Devon Conway at base price was indeed a brilliant pick for Chennai Super Kings.

Sherfane Rutherford - 1 crore to RCB

The explosive middle-order batsmen, who has played for Delhi and Mumbai in past, has a strike-rate of 135.2 in IPL. Although he hasn't really done justice to his talent, Rutherford is a game-changer and with his ability to contribute with ball as well, RCB did make a steal to get him at base price.

Yash Dhull - 50 lakhs to DC

The captain of India's U-19 World Cup winning team impressed one and all with his stylish batting during the mega event. Yash Dhull is touted to be the next big thing in Indian cricket and to get him for Rs 50 lakhs was a brilliant buy for Delhi Capitals.

Tymal Mills - 1.5 crore to MI

The T20 specialist bowler has revived his career in recent times, performing consistently in both franchise and international cricket. To get an exceptional death-over bowler in form of Tymal Mills, who has a number of variations in his armoury, at such a price was a great pick for Mumbai.

Ajinkya Rahane - 1 crore to KKR

Rahane

The experienced right-handed batsman has had a stellar IPL career, with 3941 runs in 151 games at an average of 30+. Although Ajinkya Rahane might not be the explosive T20 player, he is still a solid batsman for any side and getting him at base price was a great pick for Kolkata.

Obed McCoy - 75 lakhs to RR

2. Obed McCoy

The 25-year-old has been making noise in world cricket right now, having taken 19 wickets in 13 matches with his incredible ability to bowl fast and quick. To secure the services of Obed McCoy at such a price was indeed a brilliant move by RR.

Dominic Drakes - 1.1 crore to GT

The talented 24-year-old from Barbados has been termed as someone to watch out for in T20 format, following his sensational performances in recent times. Securing the services of an all-rounder like Dominic Drakes at this price was indeed a great pick for Gujarat Titans.

Prerak Mankad - 20 lakhs to PBKS

There are very less uncapped players who can contribute in all departments. Prerak Mankad is one such cricketer who is solid with bat and extremely useful with his right-arm medium pace bowling. Getting an experienced domestic talent for such amount was indeed great business by Punjab Kings.

Aiden Markram - 2.6 crore to SRH

Solid & explosive with bat, extremely handy with the ball - Aiden Markram was indeed one of the buys of the day at the amount he went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for. The experienced all-rounder, who has 588 runs and 5 wickets in T20Is, will add a lot of value to the Orange Army.

Krishnappa Gowtham - 90 lakhs to LSG

The off-spinning all-rounder was roped in by Lucknow Super Giants for a price under 1 crore, making him a steal pick. Krishnappa Gowtham's ability to take crucial wickets in addition to playing some quick-fire cameos with the bat makes him a good pick for the new franchise.
