Jake Paul is coming off a disappointing defeat against Tommy Fury and is looking to make this fight bigger than the last. Eyeing a win over Nate Diaz, Paul stated that he would “make [Diaz] sleep”.

"Man, I have the biggest chip on my shoulder, the biggest chip on both shoulders," Jake said. "Coming back with vengeance, refilled with that hunger that I had in the beginning of the sport to prove to people what I was capable of,” he further asserted. Diaz has only lost two fights in his 20-year-long career to TKOs.

Jake teases potential rematch with Fury

The fight first caught steam after an altercation between the pair and their entourage, but Diaz’s interest in hyping up the bout seems to have died down ever since. The Stockton slugger hasn’t replied to any of Jake’s provocations and was calm during their first pre-fight presser. In an interview with MMA Junkie, Jake Paul voiced his frustrations around the former UFC star’s apparent disinterest in promoting the fight.

"He talked a lot more sh*t to me before we signed up to fight. So, he’s kind of being a b*tch in that sense. I expected more out of him, and I expected him to carry that gangster attitude and not take my insults. But he’s pretty much rolled over like a b*tch and has been quite boring, which pisses me off,” Jake said.

Speaking about a potential rematch against Tommy Fury, Jake said: “That was the worst possible version of me, it just wasn't my night, he was the better man, but I wanna come back and take what's mine from that kid, Tommy.”

Jake Paul takes on ‘The Stockton Slugger’ Nick Diaz on August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
