England batter Harry Brook, who was expected to mark his presence for Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2025, has opted out of the competition. In the IPL 2025 auction held in Jeddah, he was sold for INR 6.25 Crore to Delhi Capitals. The English player hasn’t shown up in the marquee T20 tournament for consecutive two years despite taking part in auctions. With the T20 extravaganza just 11 days away, Delhi would like to get a perfect replacement for Brook. Following the development, SportsTiger has come up with three overseas names who can break into DC’s IPL 2025 squad after Brook's refusal to show up for the 2020 runners-up.

Here are three players who can replace Harry Brook in DC:

3. Dewald Brevis

South Africa batter Dewald Brevis didn’t get any buyers in the 2025 auction but DC might now see him as a perfect replacement for Brook. Brevis is a fine batter who can settle in any position and deliver excellent innings to the team. Back in 2022, when the right-handed batter made his IPL debut, he displayed his talent for Mumbai Indians (MI).

2. Jonny Bairstow

No paddles were raised for England veteran Jonny Bairstow at the IPL 2025 mega auction. The 35-year-old is known for his aggressive playing style while batting at top-order. Noting his immense experience and extraordinary prowess, DC might sign him up for the upcoming season.

1. David Warner

Former Australia opener David Warner, who is the most successful overseas batter in IPL, went unsold in the 2025 auction. However, Brook pulling out of the tournament might bring cheers to the Aussie’s supporters who want to see him in the league again. Warner has played eight seasons for Delhi during his 16-year IPL career and this time, he can be trusted to serve them again as he put up stunning numbers with his bat in the Big Bash League 2024-25. Appearing in 12 matches for Sydney Thunder, he amassed 405 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 141.60 and ended up as the second-leading run-getter in the tournament.
