Shivam Dube is a batter who bowls medium pace occasionally but to a good effect when afforded a chance and in the past several seasons of playing the IPL, has earned a lot of respect making runs from down the order. But to a star-studded CSK team that is already betting big on newfound young names whose best days lie ahead in the future, such as Pathirana and Rachin Ravindra, probably Shivam Dube seems a better fit elsewhere.

1. Mumbai Indians
The Mumbai Indians, it could be argued, have seen better days in the IPL than what was evident in the recent season in 2025. And despite having some amazing talents like Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and recently-acquired Ryan Rickelton, they weren't able to perform to much potential in the recent edition, eventually won by the RCB.
Could they be the team that acquires the solid all rounder Shivam Dube, if at all that can happen in what's to follow as far as the Mini-IPL auction is concerned, we don't know. But it is a high possibility that the powerful Ambani-owned family goes for Dube in the forthcoming auctions.

2. Rajasthan Royals
One of the 3 teams likely to go for Shivam Dube if CSK decide to trade him ahead of IPL 2026 auction are the Rajasthan Royals, who would love to punch above their weight in what's to come.
While on the one hand, the RR, as they are called, backed by powerful batters of the class and repute of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, such a great find, in addition to Yashavi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson, having a potentially game-changing all rounder in the form of Shivam Dube could (likely) help the team rediscover its lost groove, which would be a definite good news for the franchise.
A great hitter and timer of the white-ball, someone who bats with the strike rate of 143 in the IPL, Shivam Dube can lift the fortunes of the Rajasthan side, a team that is as respected as it is adored in the stable of the IPL.

3. Lucknow Super Giants
Another unit among 3 teams likely to go for Shivam Dube if CSK decide to trade him ahead of IPL 2026 auction could well be Lucknow SuperKings, provided the left-handed combatant is let go from the side. LSG are a still new and developing unit much like the Gujarat Titans in the top annals of the franchise-based tournament. And it could be seen that where his recent appearances in the IPL are concerned, then Shivam Dube didn't really get too many chances as an all rounder even as he scored 357 runs for his team. An effort that though took him to a respectable strike rate north of 130, but even then the leftie wasn't too successful scoring a solitary fifty in the end.
