MI stalwart Rohit Sharma and former India batter Ambati Rayudu have won six IPL trophies each as players. Rohit won his maiden title with Deccan Chargers, who became the second IPL champions under the Aussie legend Adam Gilchrist in 2009. The remaining five he won with MI as skipper. Whereas, Ambati Rayudu won three titles with MI (2013, 2015, and 2017) and the other three with CSK (2018, 2021, and 2023).

RR have reached playoffs six times

Rajasthan Royals (RR) have qualified for the playoffs on six instances. Back in 2008, they became the first IPL champions under late Australia legend Shane Warne. However, after winning their maiden title, they had to wait for five years to appear in the playoffs again.

Sohail Tanvir, Adam Zampa, and Alzarri Joseph are the only bowlers who have clinched six-wicket hauls in the league. In the maiden IPL edition, Tanvir claimed 6/14 figures for RR against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Jaipur while Zampa grabbed 6/19 for Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Visakhapatnam in 2016. Alzarri Joseph recorded IPL’s best bowling innings with his 6/12 for Mumbai Indians (MI) against SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in 2019.

Chris Gayle has hit six centuries in his 12-year IPL career

Chris Gayle, who served Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Punjab Kings (PBKS), produced six tons from his bat during his 12-year IPL career. In 2011, the southpaw struck an unbeaten 102 off 55 for RCB against his former side KKR at the iconic Eden Gardens. This innings was his maiden IPL hundred.

On May 6, 2017, MI hammered Delhi Capitals (DC) by 146 runs at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium (now Arun Jaitley Stadium) and recorded the greatest IPL victory (by runs). Chasing the massive target of 213 runs, the home side capitulated to 66 in 13.4 overs.
