Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) legend Virat Kohli and Delhi Capitals' (DC) KL Rahul were seen sharing a humorous moment with each other after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 27. On April 10, when DC beat RCB by six wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Rahul did "This is my ground" gesture. Rahul dug his bat into the ground and claimed that it’s his ground. In Delhi’s victory, he notched up an unbeaten 93 off 53 and played an instrumental role in DC’s win with the bat. After 17 days, RCB avenged their previous defeat after beating Delhi by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. On this occasion, Kohli settled scores with Rahul, imitating the 33-year-old’s famous celebration style.

In a viral clip posted through DC’s X handle, Kohli was seen in a lively mood with his Team India teammate. In a humorous way, Kohli pulls Rahul’s leg with the latter's famous celebration style. Noting his senior colleague and RCB rival Kohli, Rahul said, “Acha hua out ho gaye.” Both shared a hug with a smile on their faces. After embracing each other, Kohli said, “Pata hai maine kya socha tha match khatam karunga, yeh karunga (my ground celebration) aur tere paas aake tere ko hug karunga," remarked Kohli.

RCB climb to top of IPL 2025 standings with win vs DC

The victory against DC has placed RCB on the top of the points tally. Challengers have so far bagged seven wins and three losses in 10 outings. If Bengaluru win two more games off their next four outings, they will qualify for the IPL playoffs for the second time on the trot. Their next clash will be against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 3.

Last time, when RCB and CSK met each other at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 28, the former won their first game in the latter’s backyard after 2008. Challengers will look to solidify their playoff chances after beating CSK in the upcoming challenge in Bengaluru.
