South Africa sports scientist Adrian Le Roux has joined Team India as new strength & conditioning coach. He is going to replace Soham Desai, who left Team India camp recently. This isn’t the first time Le Roux will serve India. The Protea possesses the history of working with Team India during the 2000s for a brief period. He worked with former Team India coach John Wright from January 2002 to May 2003. He also delivered his services to the South Africa national cricket team from June 2003 to August 2007.

The South African was also part of the Punjab Kings’ camp in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, who have confirmed the news. Before Punjab, he was associated with the three-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 11 years from 2008 to 2019. As Team India are gearing up to take on England in the upcoming five-match Test series, he will look to help players maintain a stellar level of fitness during the tour. Le Roux will look to assist India’s premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has struggled with injuries recently.

Team India fans keeping expectations high from the Shubman Gill-led team
