Red Bull’s second Formula 1 team launched its 2024 F1 car and revealed that the brand is now known as the Visa Cash App RB team. The team that was earlier known as Alpha Tauri and Toro Rosso issued images of its VCARB 01 2024 car in a private launch event in Las Vegas. The car has been designed in closer collaboration with Red Bull and has used more shared pages to improve the performance of the team. The team scored 25 points and finished eighth in the One World Constructors’ Championship in the previous season.
For the 2024 season car, RB went with a blue and white livery, resembling the liveries from the 2017 to 2019 season. The forthcoming season will also see Red Bull integrating its two teams closely, with RB moving into the new campus in addition to the Red Bull campus which is in Milton Keynes.
As per the team, the launch took place in a ‘very special’ setting but wasn’t live-streamed. However, as per the official release, the 2024 car was launched in the presence of Red Bull principal Laurent Mekies, drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, and more.
Major changes in Visa Cash RB team
Red Bull’s second team, Visa Cash RB has Mekies joining the team after former team principal Franz Tost stepped down from the role. Apart from that, the team had a change in the senior tech team, where former FIA technical director Tim Goss joined as the CTO.
Guillaume Cattelani joined from across Red Bull as the deputy technical officer along with Alan Permane. The lineup for the team is said to be the same as that of the last year. Yuki Tsunoda would be entering his fourth F1 season but would have an uncertainty over his beyond that.
