Indian batter Virat Kohli concluded his Asia Cup 2022 campaign on a memorable note as the batter notched up his long-awaited 71st international century against Afghanistan on Thursday evening at Dubai International Stadium. While Team India had a disappointing outing as a team, the former Indian skipper looked in great form as he finished the tournament with two half-centuries and his maiden T20I ton.

The 33-year-old batter dedicated his 71st international ton to his wife Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika. Former Indian skipper credited his wife for his incredible comeback and claimed that she put things in the right perspective for him.

And now former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar hailed the Indian batter as the 'Greatest of All Time' and opined that nothing wrong would happen to Virat as he always supports the truth.

"Congratulation! You are a man of great nerve. Keep growing and you are a very good person. You always support the truth and that's why nothing bad will happen to you at the end remember," said Akhtar on his YouTube channel.

Adding further, the legendary pacer termed Virat's wife Anushka Sharma as an 'iron lady' and claimed the batter as a 'man of steel.'

"Virat revealed in his press conference that Anushka has seen his worst side. 'Hatts off to Anushka Sharma, well done! You are an iron lady and he is the man made with steel," added Akhtar.

Unbeaten Virat played brilliantly on Thursday as he scored 122 off 61 deliveries including six maximums and 12 boundaries, at a strike rate of 200.00.

Virat's knock propelled India to 212/2 in 20 overs. In response to India's 212, Afghanistan batters were restricted at 111/8. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was impressive with the ball as he scalped a five-wicket haul in the match. However, it was Virat who was awarded the Payer of the Match after he ended a drought his international hundred drought of over 1000 days.
