The Indian men's compound team clinched gold in the final of the 19th Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, the Republic of China on October 5, Thursday. With this win, the Indian triumvirate of Ojas Deotale, Abhishek Verma and Prathamesh Jawkar extended India's gold medal tally to 21 and overall medal tally to 84 in the continental multi-sport tournament.

The Indians beat their Korean counterparts Jaehoon Joo, Jaewon Yang and Jongho Kim 235-230 to win another medal for the country.
In the match, India gained an early lead over the Korean giants and led their counterparts 58-55, courtesy of five nine pointers by the South Koreans.
However, in the second set, Korea fought back with all their might and gained a 59-58 win over the Indian archers. Later in the third round, Indians made a comeback and secured the round with a score of 59-57. In the last and final set, the Indian trio delivered a stellar performance and earned all 10 points to end the campaign on a triumphing note.
There were coming on the back of a win over their Chinese Taipeis' Chinese Taipei's Cheng-Wei Chang, Chieh-Lun Chen, and Cheng- Jui Yang with a score of 235-224 in the semifinals.
