India skipper Rohit Sharma schooled young batter Sarfaraz Khan for not wearing a helmet during the fourth Test against England. After leading the five-match series 2-1, India hosted their English guests in the fourth of the five-game series at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. During the later part of England's second innings, Sharma stationed Khan near the batter. However, the youngster who made his debut in the third Test of the series, came to the position without any helmet or any other protective gear.

Sharma, who is popular among fans and the team alike for his witty remarks, told Khan to not be a hero and wear a helmet in his typical Mumbai tone. In a video doing rounds on social media, the Indian skipper could be heard saying, “Aye bhai, zyada hero nahi banne ka.” The stump mic caught Rohit leaving fans in splits. Later, KS Bharat came to the field and gave Khan the helmet.

Talking about India’s performance in the match, the hosts destroyed the rivals’ batting line-up, owing to Ravichandran Ashwin’s five-wicket haul as well as a four-wicket haul from Kuldeep Yadav. India wrapped up England at a total of 145 runs in the third innings. Names like Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Foakes, and Joe Root. On the other hand, names including the likes of England opener Zak Crawley, Ben Stokes, Tom Hartley, and Ollie Robinson fell prey to Kuldeep Yadav’s dangerous bowling prowess.

India currently stands at 2-1, and winning the Ranchi Test will help the side clinch the series. India hasn’t lost a Test series at home since 2012 and would aim to continue their dominance. Earlier, England were beaten down by a Virat Kohli-led team in the 2016 and 2011 Test series.
