Cricket has been ruling the hearts of Indians for many years now and it would be safe to say that cricket is considered as another religion in India. The sport is witnessing a different level of growth after different types of formats have been introduced in cricket. Apart from the general cricketers there are many differently-abled cricketers whose passion for cricket remains unmatched. Despite their difficulties throughout life they continue to showcase their passion and pursue cricket as a career. BCCI is working closely with the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) to help these cricketers grow.

According to the latest Developments, the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (COE) has taken an excellent initiative to introduce an e-learning course which is known as the ‘Level 0’ course for differently-abled former cricketers in both men's and women's categories. This course will be conducted only online and not offline. Once the candidates complete this course they will automatically qualify for the BCCI CoE Level 1 coach certification program.

DCCI General Secretary Ravi Chauhan will nominate 50 candidates from all over India for the coaching course: Reports

According to TOI, The Indian Cricketing Legend VVS Laxman who is Head of Cricket of the COE formed by BCCI, wrote a letter to the DCCI General Secretary Ravi Chauhan informing that they are starting a Level ‘0’ e-learning course for coaches from the DCCI and requested him to nominate 50 candidates from all over India in order to pursue this online coaching course. The course will encourage the growth and recognition of differently-abled cricketers across the country.

DCCI General Secretary Ravi Chauhan stated that "This is a golden opportunity for our cricketers to enhance their coaching skills and qualifications. Like other cricketers, our differently-abled cricketers will now enjoy the benefits of a BCCI-certified coaching course.” He also mentioned that he is very happy to see that the differently-abled cricketers of India are getting the due recognition by the BCCI.
