With the 2023 season of the ICC ODI World Cup approaching, fans, cricket pundits and former players have predicted their top team for the edition. While some have chosen Australia as their favourites, many named reigning champions England as their choice to be in the top two. Meanwhile, adding a twist to their prediction, several turned to AI and asked Chat GPT its favourites.
However, to everyone’s surprise, Artificial Intelligence picked neither England nor Australia but the two-time champions India as its favourites. As per Times Now, Chat GPT was asked which team has a higher chance of winning the 2023 World Cup. Replying to the question, the AI bot selected India as the most favourable to win the tournament due to their in-depth options of batting and bowling.
The AI bot replied, “India has historically been a strong team in limited-overs cricket and is considered as one of the favourites in most ICC tournaments. The team’s batting depth and spin bowling options have been significant strengths.”
Not only this, but the AI tool also picked Australia and England as the second and third-best teams to lift the coveted trophy. Speaking of the tournament, the 1983 and 2011 World Champions, India will host the ICC event from October 5 to November 19 across 10 venues throughout the nation. While England and New Zealand will play the season's inaugural, India will open their campaign on October 8 against Australia.
