Christopher Nkunku will be leaving the Chelsea camp in the upcoming summer window, claimed eminent football journalist Fabrizio Romano. With Blues all set for the transfer window this summer, a notable number of incomings and outcomings are set to happen in the club. Besides Romano, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg also asserted that the French footballer will exit Chelsea on a permanent basis after the conclusion of the ongoing season. Nkunku, who is known for his stupendous football brilliance, has struggled to get game time from Chelsea’s manager Enzo Maresca in Chelsea. Instead of the French forward, Maresca has given preference to English player Cole Palmer. This season, the 27-year-old has racked up 14 goals. However, Maresca has confirmed that Nkunku will be available for Chelsea's upcoming Premier League 2024-25 game against Nottingham Forest.

Taking to his X handle, Romano wrote, “Christopher Nkunku’s exit from Chelsea remains guaranteed ahead of the summer transfer window. Contacts are due to start soon with Nkunku attracting interest already since January.” Back in 2023, he joined Chelsea after Bundesliga’s club RB Leipzig for three years from 2019 to 2023. As an attacker, Nukunku succeeded in putting up an impressive show with his 16 goals in 25 outings in the final season for the German club in 2022-23.

Bayern Munich are keen to sign Christopher Nkunku

Bayern Munich have kept their eyes on Christopher Nkunku as Bundesliga’s most-successful team are keen to snap up the star player. Serie A’s Juventus are also looking to get him for the upcoming season.

Earlier in January, Manchester United also showed interest in reserving his services but then, the French decided to stay in the West London camp. With this development, it will be interesting to witness how much fee Chelsea will demand for the star forward. As per sources, Chelsea is looking to ask for £35m to sell Nkuknu.
