Portugal football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a signed national team's jersey to the United States (US) President Donald Trump, which includes a special message “To President Donald J Trump. Praying for peace.” With the world already embroiled in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, another confrontation has come into the light in the form of Israel-Iran tensions, which recently got worse after Israel’s strike against Iran. Earlier, this year, the conflict between India and Pakistan also took place following the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir on April 22. Amidst these scenarios, Ronaldo has sent his shirt with a message of peace and cooperation.
Trump, who has recorded his presence in the latest G7 Summit in Alberta in Canada, met leaders from different nations. Former Portugal Prime Minister Antonio Costa, who is the current President of the European Council, presented Ronaldo’s shirt to the American President. Trump exhibited the jersey in front of the camera, revealing the 40-year-old football legend’s message printed on the backside of it.
