The MS Dhoni-led side is all set to take the field in the tournament opener of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Ahead of their opener/Hours prior to their opener in IPL 2023, the Chennai-based franchise released their official anthem for the 16th edition.
The groovy ‘Whistlepodu’ anthem of the CSK features captain, MS Dhoni, affectionately called Thala by the fans, Dwayne Bravo, Ben Stokes and other squad members. The lyrics of the anthem are majorly in the Tamil language.
Chennai franchise shared their anthem song across their social media platforms, with the caption, "It's that time of the year when the Super Kings come together as a pride in #Yellove to roar! What are you waiting for? Get. Set. #WhistlePodu with our official anthem! 🦁💛".
Talking about the first match of IPL 2023 season, CSK will be entering the field to take on the defending champions, Gujarat Titans. Chennai Super Kings are four times champions and will be eager to overturn their last season hiccups. If sources are to be believed, it might be the last season of their skipper.
