Brazilian footballer Dani Alves again got into the public’s eye after his wife Joana Sanz reportedly refused to move to the marital home after the footballer’s bail. Notably, Alves was released from prison after a 1 million euro ($1.2 million) payment following a rape conviction. The 40-year-old former Barcelona player was found guilty of sexually abusing a woman in a nightclub in December 2022 and was sentenced to four years and six months in prison.
Not only this, but the footballer hasn’t been doing well regarding the marital front. His wife and model Joana Sanz made her public intentions to divorce the footballer but she changed her opinion and stood by his side and testified on his behalf during the trials.
According to the TV program, ‘This is Life’, Sanz was at Alves’ house during his sentence, but immediately moved out after his release, and is not willing to reconcile her relationship with Alves.
As per the program, Dani is worried because his relationship with Joana Sanz has become very unpleasant. The TV show also stated that the footballer’s lawyer, Ines Guardiola, has suggested tracking her moves. It also claimed that the model was there at Alves’ house when he was in prison, but moved out around the time the former Barcelona star came out. Sanz has no intention of returning to the footballer or being with him.
Talking about Alves’ bail, he needed the sum of 1 million euros to get himself out of prison after the conviction. As per reports, his former teammate Memphis Depay came forward and paid the bail amount.
