The Indian Premier league (IPL) 2023 has hit differently with its return to home and away format. After Gujarat Titans beat Chennai Super Kings at home, LSG beat DC in Lucknow and CSK beat LSG at the Chepauk Stadium, the Arun Jaitley Stadium will host first home fixture for the Delhi Capitals. The David Warner-led DC will lock horns with Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 4 (Tuesday).

Seeing the return of IPL in its original form, the state bodies are also relaxing several facilities and restrictions despite the outbreak of a new wave of COVID-19. After Chennai and Bangalore eased their transportation facilities, Delhi has become the third state to do so. The Delhi Metro in a statement addressed to extend the timings of their last metros.
“The DMRC will be extending its last train timings by about 30-45 minutes on all lines (except Airport Line) to enable spectators to reach their destination smoothly,” the Delhi Metro’s statement read.
Delhi will host IPL 2023 matches on April 4, 11, 20 and 29 and will then host three more matches in the month of May on 6, 13 and 20. It is to be noted that the Arun Jaitley Stadium is adjacent to the Delhi Gate Metro station, which lies on the violet line.
