Indian Badminton ace PV Sindhu defeated Supanida Katethong in the quarterfinal of the Denmark Open 2023 to secure her semifinal berth. World-ranked 12 Sindhu took her rival down in two straight sets by a margin of 21-19, 21-12. Sindhu was coming on the back of a win against  World No. 7 Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. On the other hand, Katethong defeated another Indian shuttler Akarshi Kashyap in the Round of 16 to move to the next round. 

With her win, she has made it to the First Super 750 semifinal of the year.  Speaking of Sindhu's semifinal bout, the two-time Olympic medalist will lock horns with the winner of Spain’s three-time world champion Carolina Marin or Tokyo Olympics silver medallist Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei's bout. The Indian shuttler made it to the second semifinal of the week after making it to the top four of Arctic Open Super 500 last week in Finland.
