After a historic T20I series win, India Women went on to continue their domination over England Women at their home ground as they now ended up winning their second consecutive ODI series win on the English soil. The Women in Blue defeated the hosts by 13 runs in the third and the final to clinch the three-match series by 2-1. For India Women, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led from the front with her knock of 102(84) runs.

Coming to bat first after winning the toss, India Women posted a total of 318 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 50 overs. Along with Harmanpreet, Jemimah Rodrigues also shone with a half-century, while Smriti Mandhana (45), Harleen Deol (45) and Richa Ghosh (38*) also gave crucial contributions with the bat. Harmanpreet and Jemimah put up a partnership of 110 runs for the fourth wicket.

Jemimah Rodrigues got out after scoring 50(45) runs hitting seven boundaries while Harmanpreet went on to complete her century in just 82 balls. The Indian skipper got out after playing a captain’s knock of 102 runs off 84 balls with 14 boundaries. After that, Richa Ghosh gave finishing touches with 38*(18) runs with three fours and two sixes as India Women ended up posting 318 runs on board.

After a brilliant show by the batter, fast bowler Kranti Goud took charge for India Women with the ball as she registered figures of 6/52 . England captain, Nat Sciver-Brunt also gave a tough fight with her knock of 98(105) runs but couldn’t take her team down the line as the hosts were bowled out for 305 runs in 49.5 overs.
