One off the oldest rivalry in international cricket - England vs Australia is also set to kick start at Edgbaston from June 16. The 2023 Ashes will see the 73 rd edition of the series, since its inception in 1883. Australia currently holds the series, since winning it in 2017-18 on home soil.

Ahead of the start of the first Ashes Test, in a big update, both teams will sport black armbands in the opening Test. This comes in light after three people were left dead and three reportedly injured following the incident in Nottingham. Notably, two students, both set to be aged 19 years were found stabbed to death in Ilkeston Road in west of Nottingham’s city centre, early on Tuesday (13 June) morning.
Talking more about the Ashes series, the two sides will play a five-match series, starting from June 16 in Edgbaston. The second Test will then be played at the Lord’s, from 28 June to 2 July, followed by Tests at Headingley, Emirates Old Trafford and the Kia Oval, respectively.
