Marcus Rashford is an English international footballer, who plays for the reigning La Liga champions FC Barcelona. The winger joined FC Barcelona on a loan deal from Manchester United, and he has been part of the squad since their pre-season matches. Rashford has already started making a good impression on the club fans.

In a latest development, FC Barcelona have managed to register Marcus Rashford just in time for La Liga ahead of their 2025-26 season opener against Mallorca tonight at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix. Marcus Rashford and Joan Garcia can now be included in the match squad of FC Barcelona and could be seen making their official debut for them in the Spanish top-flight.

Earlier, Barcelona could not manage to register him, as on Friday, and their manager Hansi Flick was left fuming and expressed his frustrations in the press conference ahead of their La Liga opener.

Hansi Flick addresses the registration issues faced by Barcelona in a pre-match press conference: Reports

Hansi Flick stated, "For me, the situation, you can imagine I'm not happy about that. But I know the situation and I believe in the club. We will focus on what we can change and what is in our hands. The other things, I believe in the club." FC Barcelona have faced some issues with their registration, however, they are now trying to resolve it. One major step they took for completing some part of a player’s  registration was that they made their goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen agree to a long term medical leave because of which they could manage to complete the registration of a player as a replacement.

FC Barcelona will be keen on defending the league title with the kind of signings that they have made ahead of the season. The Culers will hope that Marcus Rashford lives up to the expectations of the team and steps up when needed the most. And they will also be looking forward to seeing him link up well with the rest of the players in the squad both on an off the field in the 2025-26 campaign.
