Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur led from the front as Mumbai Indians Women sealed a high-scoring thriller against Gujarat Giants with one ball remaining at Arun Jaitley Stadium on March 9, 2024. GG posted a total of 190/7 with Dayalan Hemalatha (74 off 40) and Beth Mooney (66 off 35) scoring fifties. Chasing the winning target, MI Women had a good start but lost their momentum in the middle-order. After that Harmanpreet took charge and played a captain’s knock of 95*(48) as MI Women chased the target in 19.5 overs losing three wickets.
3. DC vs RCB - WPL 2024
Delhi Capitals Women stunned Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women on the last ball to register a thrilling win by just one run at Arun Jaitley Stadium on March 10, 2024. In reply to DC Women’s 181/5, RCB Women were having an interesting run chase with Ellyse Perry (49 off 32) and Richa Ghosh (51 off 29) taking charge. However, in an attempt to steal a single, Ghosh got out run out on the last ball as RCB Women lost the match by just one run.
2. DC vs MI - WPL 2025
Delhi Capitals Women and Mumbai Indians Women kickstarted their WPL 2025 with a thrilling last ball encounter in the second match of the season in Vadodara on February 15. Chasing a target of 165 runs against MI Women, DC Women lost Niki Prasad on the second last ball of the match with two runs still needed of the last ball to win. After that, Arundhati Reddy held her nerves and took a double by performing a dive as DC Women registered a thrilling victory to begin their WPL 2025 season with a bang.

The first-ever super over in WPL history took place when Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women locked horns with UP Warriorz in match number nine of WPL 2025 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on February 24. Batting first, RCB Women posted 180/6 with the help of Ellyse Perry’s 90*(56) runs and Danni-wyatt Hodge’s 57-run knock off 41 balls. In reply, the Warriorz were also bowled out for 180 runs leading the game to a super over. In the super over, UP Warriors ended up scoring 8 runs in six balls. In reply, RCB Women could only reach 4 runs in their six balls as UP Warriorz registered a thrilling win.
