As the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 progresses further, the battle for the final four is just getting intense. While the top two teams from the Group A will be decided on Monday night as New Zealand eye to secure a comfortable win over Bangladesh, Group B teams will also hope for some good results. On Tuesday, February 25, South Africa are scheduled to take on Australia, who went onto register the highest score chase, beating England by five wickets at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Although both teams will enter the fixture on the back of their respective wins, they will eye to confirm their semi-finals berth with a win on Tuesday in Rawalpindi. While both sides were seen playing without a few star players as South Africa missed the services of Heinrich Klaasen, while the Aussies have come with a depleted side.

Medical team will make a decision accordingly: Temba Bavuma on Heinrich Klaasen

But as they take on the field, South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma shared a big update on Klaasen’s injury. Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Proteas skipper said that Klaasen’s inclusion will depend on the medical assessment. "Well, I mean, they still have to assess his fitness there's obviously still the practice today so he'll do his practice today. Mainly he is batting and I guess him and the medical team they'll make a decision accordingly,” Bavuma said in the pre-match press conference.

It is to be noted that Klaasen missed South Africa’s opening game against Afghanistan in Karachi as a precaution after a left elbow soft tissue injury. In his absence, the Proteas included Ryan Rickelton, who played his first ODI of the year.
