Afghanistan will be touring India for a three match T20I series starting from 11th January at Mohali. Afghanistan haven't faced India many times in the T20Is at past and notably after T20 World Cup 2022 they have played only just 14 matches in T20I format which includes the Asian Games competition as well.

Afghanistan can take inspiration from the fact that they defeated 2022 T20 WC runners-up in a bilateral series around 9 (or) 10 months ago on UAE soil.
Afghanistan also defeated Sri Lanka and Pakistan to reach the finals of men's Asian Games competition in 2023.
Afghanistan under Ibrahim Zadran's captaincy have won a three match T20I series against UAE just few days back.

If we look at the above list, it's pretty clear that India has never played a bilateral T20I series against Afghanistan so far. They have met each other only in multi-nation events like T20 World Cup and Asia Cup respectively.
