The Indian team defeated Australia convincingly by 5 wickets in the first ODI match of the ongoing three-match series between India and Australia with the help of a brilliant opening partnership from Shubman Gill -Ruturaj Gaikwad pair and also a spectacular display of batting from skipper KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav ensured India chased down the total of 277 runs successfully.
Talking about the first innings of the match, India won the toss and invited Australia to bat first and they managed to post 276 runs in 50 overs with the help of a 94-run partnership between the Warner-Smith pair, but post that Indian bowlers completely dominated the first innings with the help of skillful bowling from Mohammed Shami.
