The 12th match of the IPL 2023 will be played between the two of the most successful IPL teams, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will square off against each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.  While the five-time champions have started the season with a loss, again, and set a new record of losing the season opener for the 11th time in a row,  Chennai followed their below-average performance in the first game with a comprehensive win in the second game.

Rohit Sharma’s men were behind from the start in the first game, losing their top four rather quickly. It took classy innings of 84 from Tilak Verma to guide MI to a respectable but below-par total of 172. The RCB openers completely obliterated the MI bowling which lacks a quality spinner and their key pacer, Jofra Archer is coming off a long-term injury. Rohit Sharma and Surya Kumar are the key players in this batting lineup and they will need to step up along with Archer in the bowling department.

MS Dhoni-led CSK's opening combo of Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad seem to complement each other perfectly. The men in yellow still have to work on the death bowling and the extras as they bowled three no balls and 13 wides in the match against LSG. Raj Hangargekar is the chosen death bowler for the CSK and the youngster has the potential but his inexperience might hurt the side in some games so the experienced Deepak Chahar will have to guide and be the talisman of this bowling attack.
