Sanju Samson and Co. will travel to Bengaluru to face Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in an afternoon match on April 23. Rajasthan Royal currently sit at the top of the table with four wins in six matches, whereas Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore are fifth with three wins and three losses.

RCB are coming off an excellent bowling performance and a 24-run win against Punjab Kings. The stand-in captain Virat Kohli lost the toss and was put to bat. Openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis started well and both scored respective fifties, but they lost wickets in the middle and no one supported Faf who was holding one side of the wicket. Eventually, they got to an under-par total of 175. The bowlers stepped up and bowled the Punjab Kings out for 150 with Mohammad Siraj registering the best bowling figure of 4/21 in his four overs. Other bowlers supported Siraj with tight bowling and chipped in with one or two wickets as well. A stiff test in Rajasthan Royals awaits the Bangaloreans where their bowling will be tested further against the likes of Buttler and Samson.

Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, lost their last game against LSG in a disappointing fashion as they failed to chase a low total of 154. Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal had started cautiously but successfully managed to deprive the LSG pacers of early wickets. Both the openers were out in their 40s as RR had a mini-collapse in the middle with Buttler, Jaiswal, skipper Sanju Samson, and hard-hitter Shimron Hetmyer getting out in a space of 17 runs. With the core of the batting in the pavilion, it was up to Riyan Parag and Paddikal to finish it off but they were held by some good bowling from Avesh Khan and Naveen Ul Haq. The table-toppers also boast of a inexperienced bowling lineup and it will be seen how they step up to the Bangalore test.
