Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is the kind of guy that gets all riled up when things are not going smooth. The sam e happened during his team’s match against Manchester City on Sunday. As the two teams played an intense match, Klopp lost control over his emotions as he fumed in anger at referee Gary Beswick for not flagging for a foul on Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool manager was also given a red card.
Now, the Football Association has charged the German with misconduct and has asked Klopp to respond at the earliest. The Liverpool manager has until Friday to respond to the charge of improper conduct. However, Klopp has already explained his action as he spoke after the game. He said it was "about emotion" and took the blame for the sending-off, saying he "went over the top" but that he felt he had not disrespected the official.
"I think I will be there tomorrow because nothing has really happened yet. I don't think something will happen tomorrow a few hours before the game," Klopp said. "I think I should have dealt with it differently, with the situation, which I do normally. It was a very intense game with a lot of decisions that the managers on both sides didn't understand."
"In German we say with one drop the bucket overflows, I hope that makes sense? I'm not happy with my reaction but that's the way it was and everybody saw it. That's the situation, I got the red card but now we wait for the process I suppose", he added.
Notably, Liverpool and Man City played a tight match with the Reds walking away with a win eventually. The Jurgen Klopp-managed team beat in-form City 1-0 to bring their third win this season. The best thing about the win was that Liverpool were able to stop Erling Haaland who is in red-hot form having netted 20 goals already.
