Former West Indies captain and current Mumbai Indians batting coach, Kieron Pollard just after joining the England camp, has been in news after the 36-year-old shared a cryptic post on Instagram. The Trinidadian cricketer took to Instagram to share quote by Anonymous, speaking of “loyalty”.

“Once the rain is over, an umbrella becomes a burden to everyone. That’s how loyalty ends when benefits stop,” Pollard shared a quote by Anonymous. However, this left the fans thinking if Mumbai Indians have done anything else after Rohit Sharma being removed from captaincy after Hardik’s inclusion ahead of the IPL 2024 mini-auction.
While some fans were left quizzed if this was in connection to Rohit Sharma’s captaincy removal, or something new buzzing. Here’s how the fans reacted:
Speaking of the IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians, the team has seen massive shift after they replaced Sharma with Hardik Pandya as the captain ahead of IPL 2024. However, none of the MI member have spoken in this regard, stats and numbers have proved Rohit Sharma as the most successful captain of the franchise as well as the IPL.
Mumbai Indians’ Global Head of Cricket, Mahela Jayawardene also admitted that this decision was an emotional one for all. “It was a tough decision. It was emotional, to be honest. It’s fair on the fans as well (to react). I think everyone is emotional and we have to respect that ass well. But at the same time, as a franchise, you have to make those decisions,” he said.
