Kiwi Curse Broken: Twitter reacts as India Women beat New Zealand Women in semifinal of ICC U-19 World Cup

The young Women in Blue put on a dominant performance with both bat and ball as the side reached the final in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Team India finally managed to break the Kiwi jinx in knockout matches of ICC tournaments as the Women's U-19 team beat New Zealand in the semi-finals of the ICC Under 19 Womens T20 World Cup 2023 to book their place in the final of the tournament. 

The young Women in Blue put on a dominant performance with both bat and ball as the side reached the final in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Batting first, India restricted New Zealand to 107/9 in 20 overs. Parshavi Chopra was the star with the ball as she took 3 wickets in her four overs which also included one maiden. In reply,  India chased down the target with 8 wickets in hand and more than five overs remaining. Shweta Sehrawat smashed a brilliant fifty and took the team to the win. 

Twitter was ecstatic as they finally witnessed India's win against New Zealand.

India will face either England or Australia in the final of the U19 World Cup which is scheduled to be played on January 29 at JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom.
