The second edition of the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) is all set to take place as the tournament is slated to begin on June 2, 2024. The event, which is managed and founded by the Maharashtra Cricket Association, started in 2023 when the maiden season was played in the Maharashtra Cricket Association, Pune.
In the first season, Ratnagiri Jets lifted the coveted trophy after beating Kolhapur Tuskers in the rain-hit contest. The league comprises six teams who compete against each other in a double round-robin format where four teams qualify for the playoffs. Ratnagiri Jets, Kolhapur Tuskers, Solapur Royals, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings, Puneri Bappa, and Eagle Nashik Titans are the teams that will feature in the event.
