The Rajasthan Royals batter Donovan Ferreira has hit a massive six but it unfortunately hit a cheer leader of the Delhi Capitals. It was raining sixes at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium from the bat of Donovan Ferreira and the cheerleader should have been watchful. When Donovan Ferreira is striking the ball as cleanly as that, the people in the crowd should beware of the ball hitting them. A similar incident happened in a game before when Shreyas Iyer hit a huge six and it ended up hitting a fan in the stands. The fan was severely injured as the ball hit eye and caused it to bleed. Unlike that incident, this accident doesn't seem to be that tragic but it would have hurt nonetheless.

The incident took place in the last over of the innings bowled by T Natarajan. The bowler attempted a wide yorker but it became a full toss and Donovan Ferreira smashed it over long off for six. That's when the fans suddenly noticed that the ball had hit the cheerleader of the Delhi Capitals on its way to the crowd. Ferreira seemed to be in the mood for some big-hitting and he scored an explosive cameo at the back-end. He struck two fabulous sixes in the last over and he helped the Rajasthan Royals reach a total of 226 after the 20 overs.

Royals recover from early collapse as Parag’s 90 and Ferreira’s explosive cameo power them to 226

The Rajasthan Royals were off to a very poor start in the powerplay as their openers couldn't maximise the power play. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal were dismissed within the first two overs of the game. From then on Dhruv Jurel and Riyan Parag stitched together a match saving partnership of 102 runs. Riyan Parag, the Rajasthan Royals skipper stepped up his game with a stunning knock of 90 runs. Ravindra Jadeja did stay around for a couple of overs but he couldn't play the long haul. But then Donovan Ferreira came out to bat and he shifted the momentum entirely towards the Rajasthan Royals.

Donovan Ferreira came out to bat in the 17th over of the game and he was given a huge responsibility to take the Royals to a strong total on board. He looked in great touch right from the first ball and he seemed to be picking up right from where he left off against the Punjab Kings. He was in excellent touch over the last few games and has been holding the Royals middle order with power. Donovan Ferreira scored a wonderful cameo of 47 off 14 balls, including 2 fours and 6 sixes, striking at 335.17. His innings was worth its weight in gold as otherwise Rajasthan Royals wouldn't reach 225 at the end of their 20 overs.

The Delhi Capitals will have a huge chase in the 2nd innings and they will be expecting to have a solid start to the chase. The Rajasthan Royals will believe that the wicket of KL Rahul will be key to their victory in this game. We have a thrilling game in our hands and it will be an absolute cracker of a game.
