After registering a shameful defeat in the first Test on Protean soil, India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, locked horns with Dean Elgar-side for the last clash of the multi-format series. Mohammed Siraj picked first two wickets within single-digit team score, after dismissing Aiden Markram and stand-in captain Dean Elgar in the fourth and sixth overs. India’s third success for the day came in the form of Tristan Stubbs, when the Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah dismissed, courtesy, a catch by visiting skipper Rohit Sharma. Siraj went on to pick the fourth, fifth, and sixth wicket for his side, in the names of Tony de Zorzi, David Bedingham, and Marco Jansen. Jansen’s wicket marked Siraj’s third five-wicket haul.
